Each class has a form teacher/class tutor who takes particular responsibility for that group of students. A Year Head is appointed to each year group, providing further support and encouragement for the girls.
Our Prefect system means that each junior class has two 6th Year students looking after the needs of the girls. We also have a 'Mentoring Scheme' in operation, whereby 1st Year students are twinned with 5th years. This makes the early days of second level much easier for new pupils. Mercy is a pilot school for the 'Cool School' anti-bullying programme.
A Pastoral Care system that means every girl is made feel part of the school community.
